Policies

  • Plagiarism policy

Clinical Journal for Medicine, Health, and Pharmacy takes copyright infringement, plagiarism, and other violations of publication standards with utmost seriousness. Our primary objective is to safeguard the rights of our authors and thoroughly examine any allegations of plagiarism or improper use of published papers. Similarly, we aim to safeguard the journal's reputation from any unethical behaviour. The papers that are submitted may undergo scrutiny using plagiarism detection technologies. If a paper is found to have plagiarised or included copyrighted material without permission or appropriate acknowledgement, or if there is a dispute over the authorship of the paper, we have the authority to take various actions. These actions may include publishing a correction, retracting the paper, contacting the head of department or dean of the author's institution, reaching out to relevant academic bodies or societies, or pursuing legal measures as deemed necessary.

  • Open Access

The Clinical Journal for Medicine, Health, and Pharmacy conforms to open access policy and provides access to full-text content immediately upon publishing.

  • Preprint Policy

Preprints refer to the original draft of a research paper that is available on a public server (preprint server) before undergoing formal evaluation by experts in the field. Preprints can be sent to the preprint server at any point in the peer review process. Uploading preprints is not regarded as prior publication.

However, it is essential for authors to provide comprehensive information regarding their preprint posting, such as the name of the preprint server, the URL link, DOI, and other relevant facts, in the Cover Letter when submitting their work to our journal. Authors are not required to withdraw preprints from preprint servers before submitting them.

Once the manuscript has undergone the peer-reviewed process and is formally published in our journal, the authors are required to update the preprints by acknowledging the official publication in our journal and providing a URL link. Authors may opt to retract the preprints once they have been formally published in our journal.

  • Review policy

The editor, or occasionally an editorial board member, will initially review manuscripts and, within 7 days, editorially reject those without sufficient priority for publication. We will send those qualifying for peer review to at least two expert reviewers for unbiased, independent, and critical assessment. We ask reviewers to provide an overall recommendation, bolstered by detailed comments on the quality and originality of the science, as well as the applicability and impact of the reported results and conclusions. Reviewers will also evaluate the scientific validity of the statistical analysis and data of clinical trial articles. We keep the identities of peer reviewers confidential, but provide the authors' information to the reviewers. The editors endeavour to reach decisions on these papers within four weeks from the original submission date. Authors are given a two-week period for general revision and a one-month period for heavy revision. We will publish accepted papers in print within four months of acceptance.

  • Conflict of Interest

The Clinical Journal for Medicine, Health, and Pharmacy requires authors to sign a disclosure form at the time of manuscript submission. The author or authors are expected to disclose any conflicts or financial interests impacting the outcome of the study in which they are involved. If the manuscript is accepted, the conflict-of-interest information will be communicated in a published statement. The guidelines on conflict of interest established by COPE can be found here.
